Where to stay in Destin

Most of Destin’s vacation accommodations are hotels, motels, and high-rise condominiums. For a luxury vacation stay, you can find a number of large houses located along the coast. Not only do these properties boast superb sea views, but many are within easy walking distance of the beach and some of the city’s best restaurants and bars. Pitch a tent at a local campsite to save a few dollars and take advantage of the Emerald Coast’s mild weather.

  • Great selection of stores that always have good deals! Shop early or late evening (they are open to 10 during the summer) because it gets very crowded.  more »
  • We visited this mall again after 5 years. It is surely worth visiting and offers good deals. The number if shops is over average. What can be improved: there is no green at all, too little benches, to...  more »
  • Many nice stores, would recommend more restrooms. The older salesman in Sacony store was very nice and knowledgeable about the shoes. Helped me find the perfect running shoes! Tommy Hilfiger employee ...  more »

  • This place is huge with a giant variety of stores and merchandise. Although purported to be an "outlet" center, I don't find the prices to be much better than any other regular retail store. Although parking is plentiful and easily accessible, it can be quite a hike from the parking area to the stores, especially for the elderly, those with children, or if you have lots of packages. I do not believe wheelchairs are available, so bring your own if walking is difficult. The bathrooms are clean and tidy. This is quite a feat for the cleaning staff considering how busy it usually is. My biggest complaint has more to do with the design of the complex. I would have suggested wider sidewalks. There is so much foot traffic it is difficult to open doors into the stores. My other complaint is there are not enough sidewalk ramps for the wheelchair bound to use.
  • Such a fun mall. So many regular and high end stores! It even has a children's playground! My wife and I love that. I love this town so much, and the outlets easily contribute to that!
  • Lots and lots of places to park. Sidewalks are covered so shopping can be done in light rain. Name brand outlet mall. Lots to choose from. Lots of restaurants near by.
  • Another great Simon property! The Under Armor store was fabulous & had 40% off about everything! Really, really fine collection of outlet stores, probably the best assortment of stores I've seen.
  • As others have commented, this is a large facility offering an impressive array of regular and premium brands. The sprawling layout is so long that many patrons will drive from one section to another. But the idea of "outlet mall", as originally conceived, suggests that a shopper will save significant money and that's generally not the case anymore. There are only a few stores offering deals that grabbed our attention during an afternoon of shopping there. Sure, we left with a bunch of bags in hand, but we left most stores shaking our heads because "buy one, get a second 50% off" of retail price for last year's designs hardly seemed like a great deal. Or 20% off a $300 piece of cookware. But if you're in the area and want a good selection, it's a great place to spend an afternoon, just don't expect to be blown away.
