  • Couldn't stay long here but long enough to want to go back. Just a beautiful drive we ended up taking from the Salton Sea into San Diego. We even saw some Wild Turkeys running around. Great for picnic...  read more »
  • One of the best state parks in San Diego county. We always do Stonewall Peak, which is a fairly easy trail for me. It was more of a challenge for my 6 year old, but he loves sitting at the top and loo...  read more »
  • Coming from Wisconsin, I always disliked how many people are on the trails immediately around San Diego. I am used to quiet, less-populated hikes and sought a similar experience in California. Althoug...  read more »
  • Recovering from knee replacement and challenging my trust in my new knee. Challenging start but great trail for a novice. Enjoyed weather, scenery, people were welcoming and polite. Great for family adventure hick.
  • Always an awesome place to go. Stunningly b eautiful. I love it here. Stay away during snow season. So crowded you will be stuck for hours! Near town of Historic JUlian. Know for its really expensive but we'll worth the price Apple pie! Not to mention friendly people and quaint surrpundings.
  • Beautiful scenic trails. Went on horseback and the ponies loved it. Saw a deer and some turkeys, and rode around the Stonewall Mine area. Great trail for both novice and experienced riders. Park across the hwy on the sharp left turn and ride across to the trails.
  • We camped at Green Valley campground in Cuyamaca at camp site #74. This isn't a good site. There is no level ground to place a tent larger than a two person tent (maybe). The restrooms were fine but a bit away, a problem if you need a nightly bathroom trip. The Rangers were all very nice and helpful. They made routine drive through which we hadn't seen at a few other campgrounds. Our group did the trail to the falls. It's a great trail with friends to provide an interesting picture on the rocks, we poised like a band from the 80's. All in all it was a great time, just don't expect much sleep at this site due to the fact there is no level ground on which to pitch your tent. All in all camping is about friends and adventure which you can get here. Happy Camping!
  • Amazing camp grounds, clean and huge for yourself. Also a nice hike for in the morning or even late at night, which I would highly recommend. The view and the experience is amazing and one to remember for sure.
