  • Rivers is nice but way too small. I'm a BJ player so those tables stink on the weekend and get raised to a minimum $25 but $50 is typical, which is uncool. I rather go Indiana or even Michigan to avoi...  more »

  • I've been to Rivers maybe five or six times. I won the first time and have lost every time since. My game of choice is roulette. Some may say it's the worst game to play. Say what you want. I'm pretty good at it. There's a basic strategy that most roulette players follow and that's playing areas of the wheel. In my opinion that is the best strategy. At Rivers that strategy is no good. It is very hard to predict what is coming next each spin of the wheel. I've heard stories of them cheating at this casino and getting busted. I'm not sure how true they are. I definitely think something is going on there, especially after reading other reviews. I vowed to never go back. There are so many rules there that it makes me feel like a kid. I can't really speak on the staff. They are not 24hrs like most casinos and it does get very crowded. Their comps suck. The best experience is the burger from the burger joint, Flipt. @ v saitta, this is my first casino review and I don't drink when I gamble.
  • Good Crowd. Gambling was definitely on the bill. You could feel the action on the floor. Sat @ Blackjack for a couple of hours, won $25. Good crowd, Good Dealer, Good Pit Boss. No photos allowed. What happens @ Rivers stays @ Rivers. Thanks, TJ.
  • My husband and I are avid casino goers. We frequent many casinos in the Michigan/Indiana/Illinois area. We stopped at Rivers after dropping a friend off at O'hare Airport. We were highly disappointed and didn't spend much time there. The casino was non smoking which was okay, but the smoking section outside was awful. I understand that the majority of the population doesn't smoke anymore, but the room provided for smoking was dingy, dirty, unventilated and just plain gross. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I would've rather stood outside in the cold to smoke than to sit in that room any longer. The machines are all mostly 2 cent or higher. It took us a long time to find a machine that fit our budget. We only took $100 and ended up leaving with $60 so overall we didn't do too bad, but we weren't there very long either. It was fun to stop in and see a new casino, but I probably wouldn't go back. It is worth the drive to go to Joliet, IL or Hammond, IN.
  • Mediocre Casino. Not bad, but not a place you will visit frequently. The tables are not great. $25/$50 minimums! Kind of crazy for a suburban casino. The building is nice, the free parking is great. Location I would say is good. Rosemont attractions are nearby. Chicago is not too far. Near the blue line. Too many old people sitting at slots, not enough drink specials. But one thing is fore sure, the penny slots are loose. I won $540 on just $20 voucher. Can't complain, but definitely not Vegas.
  • Started out slow, not winning much and it was packed on a Saturday night. Switched to drinking. lol Ate burgers at a place inside the casino, don't remember the name. They were good though. Then gambled a little more just hitting random machines and things picked up and started winning a little. Cause winning is so much more fun than leaving with empty pockets.
