  • This was a bustling yet beautiful location for my friend's simple wedding. Parking for our section was very limited but it was easy enough to find a space in the neighborhood. We are from out of town and had heard mixed opinions so I was happy to see that it was a popular and well kept park. Seems very family friendly as well.
  • Beautiful park. A must see. It has a lovely outdoor fireplace, 2 lakes. Animal friendly. Lots of restrooms. Local restaurants nearby are good. Pricey but good.
  • DON'T PAY FOR A PICNIC SPOT AT WASH PARK (DENVER PARKS & REC)! Purchased a picnic spot from Denver Parks and Rec. After about an hour into our family oriented gathering, the ranger came by and harassed us. After making us get rid of our beer, half my party left. Ruined the picnic. Then she kept lurking around to make sure we stayed in compliance. Point being that they disabled our family party. Do yourself a favor and dont get a permit for your group as it just attracts attention of the rangers. Keep your family away from the "official picnic" areas.
  • We hit up the public pool. It was nice. Not crowded and the staff was helpful. The park itself seemed great. There were activities going on everywhere.
  • I love this park so much. The path is perfect for bike riding or an evening walk. It makes me happy seeing all the people playing volleyball.

Where to stay in Denver

For a touch of class near all Denver's major attractions, book a room at one of the city's historical hotels, built during the late-19th century silver rush. Denver's oldest hotels feature opulent oak furnishings, silver chandeliers, and frescoed walls, as well as spacious rooms packed with high-tech gadgets. If you're planning your visit on a limited budget, consider the affordable hostels and bed and breakfasts located outside the central part of town. Alternatively, you can also stay at one of the mid-range hotels near the airport.
