  • Nice park and a great lake. It was serendipitous that we were in town for the Dragon Boat races! Great views of the surrounding area.

  • Great space to stretch out and huff or hug a few trees. Great for all ages, pup very welcome too. Occasional events (music, boat races). Subtract a star because it's difficult not to compare it to mountain-located lakes which are so so much more tranquil, serene, and nature-filled, and far less weird-pond-scum-filled. This place draws everyone, and I do mean everyone. Expect an all American melting pot, and the entertainment of people watching! For an urban Denver park this truly is a solid choice.
  • The area that Sloans lake is now occupying was once farm land. Named after Thomas F. Sloan, a homesteader in the mid to later 1800s that used this land for farming and raising cattle. One day he dug a well and the nest morning his land was flooded by the underground aquifer and then eventually became knows as Sloans lake. This is a great park in the town of Edgewater and very large, many events are held here, namely the Dragon boat festival being among its largest. A great place to run, walk, jog or bike ride along the concrete path that runs along the entire perimeter of the lake. There is plenty of parking and this is a great spot to have a nice little summer picnic.
  • Lots of traffic on Sheridan, but lovely walking path around the lake, nice (but busy on weekend mornings) tennis courts, good playgrounds for kids, picnic tables with barbeques. Huge park!
  • Awesome park. Nice trail around the lake with amazing mountain and city views. Best time to come is at sunset. There is goose crap everywhere and they try their best to keep up with it.
  • Its a park, the Earth is beautiful, enjoy it. Let go of thought, do not even be distracted by the form of a thought, in all the ways it forms, ultimately, it is not the way of thinking that confuses us, but the thinking that arises after a truer or deeper thinking is already done, the hand that wrote everything under the stars is the same hand writing right now. We did not arise from the thoughts we create, but we do become them when created.
