  • We went on a Sunday night, thought this would be a perfect way to end our summer. For a $100 for a family of four, this was super expensive. Especially since some rides were broken down, there is tras...  more »

  • This is a very historic park but it is really falling apart and neglected. I don't see how this place can sustain itself for many more years at this rate of neglect. There are rides that have been par...  more »

  • It's the oldest of it's kind in Colorado and one of the oldest in the U.S. I get the same vibe as I get from a sketchy motel in an unfamiliar place. It's great if you like that. Pretty cheap. The rides are old and run down, which makes them even more exciting! You really could fly out of the roller coaster if you aren't careful. It's great. And the old tower and building add even more creepy to the picture. I swear you couldn't write a better setting for a crazy horror story or something
  • So i love this place. Been coming here for as long as I can remember. It's affordable and fun. But when I called to ask a simple yes or no question this lady gave me attitude for absolutely no reason. She was completely rude.
  • I gave this place far stars because I have been coming here for so long, it's a place of my childhood I love the art deco style of the park. there is kiddie land and, adult rides I wish the owner would put money back into the place. the iconic spider that's been there forever is gone and I hate to see the empty spaces or rides once were parking is free but you do have to pay $4 per person to get into the park in addition to the rides you want to ride you can buy tickets for a day pass great iconic local place
  • I use to go to this place as a child. Now I'm an adult and the park is a disgrace. It's completely obvious that the owners do not care to update this historic place. In due time this place will go out of business or get shut down. Most of the rides are not working and the ones that are still running give you the feeling that it will break while riding. I guess that's a form of amusement, right? Please update this beautiful place, you are sitting on a gold mind. Put money back into the park before it's too late!
  • Been going to this park since I was little. Loved and still love this park to this day. It makes me so sad to see the park in this shape and it's only been getting worse. Reading some of these other reviews I know I'm not alone when I say I would absolutely love to see some money put into renovating the park and returning it to its former glory. This place has so much history and seeing this slow, painful death of a once great park is just...disheartening. Looking at some old photos from when the park first opened to the 1980s with the ballroom and the casino theatre and swimming and fireworks and events and the beautiful architecture is just stunning. I wish I could've seen how beautiful it was back then in person. Now there's trash everywhere, half the rides are closed or removed, food stalls and arcade venues are closed off, empty vending machines and vendor stands are strewn about, and the recent hailstorm has taken out most of the signs, roofing, and what remaining lightbulbs there were. I don't know if management is even reading these but please, please, please try and figure out how to make a renovation happen. You've got plenty of able volunteers who would love to help (myself included). I know it's not going to be easy but if you love the park as much as I and so many others do you'd find a way to make it happen. Lakeside had a beautiful heyday once. Let's give it another one. Also to the people giving Lakeside a bad review because you don't understand how the pricing system works, please do some research. It's really not complicated once you get it figured out.

Where to stay in Denver

For a touch of class near all Denver's major attractions, book a room at one of the city's historical hotels, built during the late-19th century silver rush. Denver's oldest hotels feature opulent oak furnishings, silver chandeliers, and frescoed walls, as well as spacious rooms packed with high-tech gadgets. If you're planning your visit on a limited budget, consider the affordable hostels and bed and breakfasts located outside the central part of town. Alternatively, you can also stay at one of the mid-range hotels near the airport.
