1.9/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
A water park and amusement park with over 50 rides, Elitch Gardens also has up-close animal interactions, magical illusion shows, games, and concerts. Ride a roller coaster, get soaked on a water ride, take in an acrobatic show, and view the city from the top of the observation tower. Check out the Brain Drain ride, a seven-story steel-looping roller coaster, and Disaster Canyon, which stimulates white-water rafting. After you've worked up an appetite, indulge in some barbeque or funnel cakes, or something else from one of the park's many restaurants. Parking is free with season passes, or available for a daily fee with single-day tickets. There is also a light rail stop and bus station next to the park's entrance if you want to avoid parking. • Do not just drop your children off and leave! First off, it is filthy. Just walk around for a few minutes and you will see. All of the food vendors have trash around their booths, people who put glove...  read more »
  • Where do I start? This park is a waste of time and dangerous. The staff are inexperienced, untrained, and spent their time gossiping rather than working. At one point, my husband and child were stuck ...  read more »

  • Very fun! My experiences at this park are usually VERY good. I would probably give the rating between 4 & 5 stars, were it not for the highly overpriced, lackluster food. On a good day it tastes kind of decent, but it's very hit or miss. Make the food taste like it's priced, & I give you 5 stars, Elitch's! :)
  • I have not been to Elitch Gardens for 5 years, until yesterday. I had 9 people in my party, and an additional 2 of our party had Season Passes. Some of life guards and ride operators should not be working there. They are rude, they are clearly unhappy working there, grumpy, have no manners, yell when there is no reason to yell, disrespectful. It was not just towards us, it was towards everyone. Most of those jerks work in Kiddie Land.... why on earth would they put some grumpy butt working with the children escapes me! They need more younger peppy people in that area! I spent a lot of money there and to have anyone being a jerk is really unacceptable. Unfortunately, they are the only real amusement park in Colorado. Other than that handful of awful employees, the day was good.
  • It's been years since I visited the park. It appears there were improvements to make it easier to stop and take a break. There are shaded benches everywhere. Although the same old rides still a lot of fun. Food was expensive, which was expected. It's mid-August, the lines were not bad.
  • Great place to go with the family or a group. The rides are a lot of fun, the water park is great on a hot day. If you can afford it, I recommend the cabana rental. It includes a reserved meeting area, a meal and tubes for the water park. If you prefer to stay dry, the VIP lounge gives you meals, passes to skip the lines at the most popular rides, and a meeting area with air hockey and other games. Either of these options will help give you a great experience
  • This was a fun place, but unfortunately, the staff was terrible. I was with two children waiting for a ride when everything got shut down due to lightning.. We were the next ones to get on the roller coaster and had been waiting a while, so we waited for a about an hour more until the lightning passed and the ride was re-opened. We had accidentally left our shoes at the water area and thought nothing of it since I had seen a lot of people on scarier, open roller coasters without shoes (this was a ride where our feet were covered, so we thought for sure we would be okay, plus no one had said a word to us the entire two hours we waited). We got on the ride and were all strapped in, and one of the staff said, "You have to get off; you need shoes for this." I was in shock. They would not even let us wait on the other side of the ride for someone to bring our shoes or anything. I felt horrible for the two children I was caring for; they had waited so, so patiently and were so excited. Seriously--shame on your staff for not at least compromising with us. Definitely won't be coming back due to this.
