Create an itinerary including Denver Union Station
Denver Union Station is the main railway station and central transportation hub in Denver, Colorado. It is located at 17th and Wynkoop Streets in the present-day LoDo district and includes the historic station house, a modern open-air train shed, a 22-gate underground bus station, and light rail station. A station was first opened on the site on June 1, 1881, but burned down in 1894. The current structure was erected in two stages, with an enlarged central portion completed in 1914.

In 2012, the station underwent a major renovation transforming it into the centerpiece of a new transit-oriented mixed-use development built on the site's former railyards. The historic station house reopened in the summer of 2014, hosting the 112-room Crawford Hotel, restaurants and retailers.

  • Classic station. With lots of security around we felt safe in this location. Kept very clean as well.

  • We found downtown strangely quite when we visited Denver but Union Station was buzzing with people. Wasn't expecting the grand interior. Definately worth stopping by.

  • I just loved it! I walked to the Union Station from the Convention Center via the 16th Street Mall. Such an interesting place. A bit eclectic. A lot to see. A repurposed retro train station still...

  • One of my favorite places in Denver! You have to visit the flower shop inside! Everything about this station is just so beautiful!
  • It was big inside it had seats all over an food places to eat at unfortunately we got there at 830am on a Tuesday morning an nothing was open. I think there was a coffee shop that was serving coffee but that is all I seen. They have putlets forphone charger hookups if you need a a little charge which we did my phone was dead an had to charge b4 calling an Uber. Its easy on an off the train we rode the train from airport I think it was 6 stops an then union Station which was about a 35 min ride an cost $10.50 for an all day pass an it took you all over plus I believe it included bus fare also but it was cheaper than getting an Uber or cab from airport if your staying in denver we were 2.5 miles from our bnb taxi n Uber run $45 to $65 plus a tip from airport to downtown Denver it cost us $21 for 2 train tickets an $9.25 Uber ride to our place for $31 roughly an thats how we got back to airport as well when we went homes we spent $62 round trip instead of taxi or Uber from airport which would cost $90 to $130 the train is almost as fast as driving a car an you don't have all the traffic an lights an having to deal with no where to park. I hope this helps someone.
  • It is a great looking historical station, and it is close to downtown Denver. There are some great restaurants there. The only problem is that if you are waiting for the train, you cannot go to the bathroom unless you buy anything from the shops inside the station.
  • The upstairs area with restaurants is nice and pretty, and the transportation terminals are generally reliable, but the management here is clearly not equipped to be in charge of a train station in the middle of a big city. Unsheltered people come through once in a while, which is not a problem - the problem is that the restrooms are for customers only, enforced by security, which forces people with NO OTHER CHOICE to relieve themselves in elevators which are seemingly never ever cleaned. Literally 99% of the problems here would be solved with public restrooms or even port-a-potties with occasional security checks to make sure no one is staying there for hours. As is the place smells of urine constantly. Union Station is in the heart of a city - policies should be in place accordingly.
  • Really cute spot. Hotel, shops, bar, food you name it. Cute hangout spot too.
