  • The Denver Art Museum is nice, but the best paintings are across the street at the Denver Public Library! And, the best painting at the Denver Art Museum is the one that is on loan from the Denver Pub...  read more »
  • Visit the 5th floor for very interesting exhibit on education through the years. All sorts of items are displayed in an easy to view manner.
  • This is a remarkable building that portrays its importance; view it from a block or 2 away and you just know that it is solid and important. It provides space to read, write, or study, where sunshine ...  read more »
  • I don't usually write reviews, but I visited Denver for two months, and I loved this library. I'm actually glad they allow the homeless and what one reviewer called "vagrants," "losers," and "addicts" to enter the library. They were nice people, and no one caused any trouble. I won't even get into what's wrong with being so judgmental that you give an awesome library a single star because homeless people hang out there.
  • A museum on the top floor. Super awesome artifacts with a nostalgic feeling of getting lost in how grand it is. Love this library!
  • I can't tell if this place is a library or a homeless shelter. A beautiful library with great resources and good staff, but the vagrants, addicts, losers, and seemingly illiterate people take away from the atmosphere which would be great otherwise. 90 percent of the people in this building do not belong here, all they do is take up space, sleep on chairs and tables, make the bathrooms disgusting, and take up the computers to play games or watch rap videos. Most are never seen reading or sitting quietly, as one should in a library. Instead, they congregate out front and around tables computers chairs and take all the magazines and just give weird looks and make people feel uncomfortable. I saw one person with an actual blanket, sleeping bag and pillow. Ridiculous and a stain on the city of denver.
  • One of my favorite pass times is going to the Library and DPL is awesome. The staff are super friendly. Idea Lab is so cool and "Free." There are a ton of movies, music and audio books to choose from. On level 7 there is a art gallery that changes monthly. They have Movie Tuesday nights in the basement, lots of fun! I love all the events the Library holds weather is learning how to knit, free live music, or attending the Paris Market in November. I almost forgot the Used Book sale that goes on 2 x a year one in June the other in November, quality used or donated books for super cheap. Whether you need to look for a job, attend a class to learn new skills or want to study and pick up a novel this place has no shortage of things to do!
  • I've travelled all over the world, and my first stop in any city f any country is always the public library. This one is up there with some of the best "public" libraries of the world in almost every way. Weird bathrooms though.
