  • The Da Vinci exhibit was sold out, but the museum has so many things to see, we didn't really miss it. With an I Max and a Planetarium you could really spend more than one whole day here. The museum b...  more »

  • Great place. All the stuffs of a natural history variety. Mineral and gem collection is incredible. Planetarium with awesome shows about outer space, our solar system, etc. Fossil collection is very impressive IMO. you want to see some GIGANTIC dinosaur skeletons towering dozens of feet overhead? You can find some of that here too. It appeared also an impending opening of a new exhibition. And I could surmise; they’re always updating and adding new stuffs! Super busy the day I was there. I’m 49. I think it would be awesome if they offered at least ONE DAY FOR ADULTS ONLY, in a given month or something because it was just a SEA of small children- sadly most of whom could care less and might rather be at an indoor FUN FAIR! Loved the museum, wish I could enjoy it on an adult only adventure!
  • This is a wonderful place and I’m glad I went. We spent hours and still didn’t see everything. This is great for all ages. I really enjoyed the dinosaur area the most. The staff was nice and helpful when we needed direction. It was neat to see so many parts of history illustrated so well. Great visit over all
  • 3 incredible floors of exhibits. There were so many different things to see and for the kids to play with. After we left they had a hard time picking out what their favorite was. I was more than impressed by the quality and layout of all of the exhibits, most notably the dinosaurs and space exhibits. The natural history areas were extremely well done, too. Didn't get a chance to try the coffee shop, but the T-Rex Cafe was great, especially when compared against other museum/zoo restaurants. Definitely warrants many future visits! **Heads up - as it is located next to city park, the parking was very crowded when we were leaving the museum (early Saturday afternoon). There were a lot of activities happening in the park, which I'm sure was what caused the congestion. When we arrived at 930am the lot had plenty of parking. So if you're bringing younger kids you may want to aim for an early arrival on the weekends.
  • We greatly enjoy having a family membership to this museum. Each visit reveals a wonderful balance between the particular and the infinite in any few steps. There are other balances, as well - between the educational and experiential, between the interest of adults and the passions of children, between art and science. This is a first-class museum, with so much more to offer than can be encompassed in just one visit.
  • Favourite place to go with the kids and would actually love to go sometime without them too. The exhibits are interactive and updated frequently so there's always new stuff. They have this big open section with videos projected on the floor of running dinosaurs and the kids have a riot chasing them. The kids section is a perfect way to wear toddlers out... we get the extended family annual pass every year and it's worth every dollar.
