  • This is a beautiful Museum, filled with beautiful memories and energies and history, It has beautiful volunteers as well!! My grandfathers army stuff was donated here, when you first walk in you'll keep going straight and to your right will be a case and has old army money and some pictures. There is a Christmas card about a Mango Tree and he wrote that when he was taken in war. This Museum is well worth seeing if your going through Deming NM I give its 5 STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Holy mackerel! This museum exceed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Totally volunteer staffed, volunteer remodeled, with all donated items. Incredible historical collection of local artifacts. Fills up a two-story armory building. Western artifacts & rock collection are fantastic. TEN STARS!
  • What a wonderful experience! You will be most pleased to take the time to see this very friendly and very clean museum. It is filled with artifacts from various areas. The draw is the Mimbre pottery but all of the rooms are with different settings. There are several rooms that have items that we have not seen in other museums. There is a huge rock and geode room, decanter room and quilt room. Those were some of my favorites. We loved the whole concept! You will enjoy your time spent in this museum. Plan on a few hours in order to see everything! This museum is managed by volunteers and two staff! The cost is a donation!
  • Very very interesting museum that has a lot of care and attention paid to it. It's donation based, and I feel guilty that I couldn't donate much, so I'm happy to write a 5-star review.
  • This is a museum worthy of your time. I stop whenever I am in Deming, and on my most recent visit, I admit, was overwhelmed by some of the history in this museum. From notes and articles about the Bataan Death March, to a collection of liquor bottles that numbers probably over a thousand. The Geode collection is extensive. The history of shops and the equipment from long ago is incredible. Wait till you see the old hair salon! The sets of photos of all the locals and their generations is wonderful. This time I found a photographic collection of The Faces of Deming, that was inspiring indeed! There is so much going on, yet it is large and spacious. The upstairs is due to be back online in Nov 2012, and that brings another layer to this museum! Top it off it is free. (you can donate all you want) The volunteers that put this together have a passion that needs to be bottled and sprayed on people everywhere! What a gem.
