Bringing the spirit of Japan to southern Florida, Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens houses centuries of tradition and history. The museum boasts a rich permanent collection of artwork and masterfully crafted objects that provide insight into Japanese culture and everyday life. The collection focuses on the Meiji period, which extended from the mid-19th to the early 20th century, and brought major changes to Japanese society. You can also catch one of the rotating exhibits and learn about different aspects of Japanese culture, from ancient to modern. Enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and learn why these peaceful refuges play such an important role in Japan as places for contemplation, relaxation, and romance. If you’re visiting in the summer, make sure to protect yourself from the sun as you stroll through the large campus. We love going here. Even though it’s about a 1-1.5 hour drive for us, we’ve been 3 times in the past year. This last time we finally got to have lunch at the restaurant. It was great! I hope we can eat there again next time. One of my favorite things is the gift shop. Wonderful finds in there! We get something every time we go. I also LOVE the bonsai garden! It’s really one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! It’s a great place to take pictures, relax, meditate, enjoy nature, and expose yourself to some Asian culture. Everyone should visit Morikami!

We had lunch at the cafe prior to the walk through the gardens. The service was excellent & the food was very good! We were surprised to see the bill wasn't crazy expensive for great food. The gardens are breath taking, amazing views. It was extremely hot so you must drink lots of water if you plan to visit during the summer months.

This place is beautiful!! Make sure you ask for discounts before you pay since they are no refunds. They have students and others :] The gardens are beautiful, the walk isnt too bad. I got through it in less than 2 hours and I repeated some routes and read all the signs to get the most info. Next time, Ill get the audio tour so I can learn even more about it! I ended at the restaurant and got there tofu which was delicious. Plus it had a beautiful view from the outside seating! All in all, I will go again for sure and see the new art that they put up in the museum! 5 out of 5 :)))

Very big park and very, very beautiful. There are quite a few spots where you can refill your water bottle or take a cup, which is super helpful and needed to go through this park in summer. There are also some areas where you can learn! About bonsai trees, about Japan's lifestyle (there's a replica of a traditional Japanese house! and of public transportation too) so it's much more than taking in the view and taking pictures, but it's a recommended place for photography lovers.

One of my favorite parks in Palm Beach County. Come here for a walk, for lunch, or for an event. Something for everyone interested in Japanese culture or nature. Walking around the grounds takes about an hour at a leisurely pace, longer of you do the tour or stop to listen to the bamboo rustle. Museum isn't large and doesn't take very long. Be sure to stop at the cafe for lunch and enjoy the view.
