  • We as a family were celebrating a belated Father's Day & Birthday for my brother-n-law... Everything about the boat rental was great! Truly a day for the books! Thank you Highland Park Fish Camp
  • I only went there to launch a boat to go fishing in the nearby lake. The shop was nice enough, though a bit pricey. My contention is with the boat ramp. I have a 16' center console, so its not a big boat. I was amazed that they charge $5 to launch. The ramp is extremely short, and the water was not deep enough to float the boat before the tires dropped off the end of the ramp. Once on the water, the channel into the main waterway is 1/2 mile long. For about half of it, the depth finder said 0'. For the other half it said 2', and we had several encounters with submerged trees that we couldn't see before we hit. I learned my lesson. I don't know anything else about the place, but I wouldn't launch anything deeper than an airboat there.
  • Exceptional service, clean rooms, utensils, ect. Everything you need to cook your catch is at your disposal. We used a guide one day and it was great, he put us on fish and cleaned what i caught as well, the boat rentals are cheap, and the fishing pond is loaded with nice sized bass. It was a great experience. I highly reccomemd it!!
  • Cabins are what you would expect at a fish camp; small but comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with all the necessary utensils but the pots and pans are old aluminum and everything sticks. Water is good for cooking and bathing but I would bring bottled water for coffee, tea, etc,. Service is friendly and fishing is awesome! Boat rentals are reasonable. We hired a guide for a day and all our catch was cleaned and packaged for us. They have grills and fire rings which were a big plus. One word of caution though-some items such as bug spray have a huge mark up so "look before you leap". All in all-highly recommended.
  • This place is horrible. i shuttered the moment we started down 'the path' in the car. Couple guys sprawled out in recliners upon entering. Seemed upset we came in. . Eh, rude people are everywhere so long as it's clean right? Pffft, filthy. . okay, okay maybe I'm just being picky.. The boats they have for rent are nice right? This being the only reason we went i looked beyond all the other crap.. 100 feet out the boat motor dies.. sure to be a fluke I'm guessing. . Besides, with all the non communicating they do, and you know, since they're but busy cleaning the boats have to be maintained. . another 100 feet, motor dies. . another pull of the pull cord, nothing. nothing nothing nothing. I paddled my way back in. Needless to say i pissed.. so after a long paddle this joke of a manager could care less. . i should have known something when the guy ahead of me was checking out early and said he'd never be back. He must have rented the same boat they gave me. If you value your families safety stay away from this place. Even the little pond out front will give you hepatitis. . BEWARE.
  • Awesome place to go fishing, relax, camp and get a guided tour with greT fishing spots. Highly recommend to everyone!!
