Tanger Outlet Deer Park Reviews
Tanger in Deer Park is a lovely circular outdoor mall which is great in the temperate climate; but in the cold weather I prefer Riverhead where you can drive from complex to complex and actually SEE t... more »

If you go by train, presenting in the office of customer service tickets, they give you a coupon book that is quite useful. This outlet has a small bus that you transport from and to the train station. Takes long to spend, not is if this is around the time that I went. Dining options are few. For lunch it is better Chipotle (where I recommend arriving early because it fills up pretty). As everywhere, there is a starbucks to recharge energy (of course this wasn't very well stocked) and sites such as haagen dazs ice cream. Generally it is a good option for shopping while in NYC.
We love the Riverhead Tanger Outlets, but decided to try the Deer Park one. The layout is awful...it's frustrating trying to find out where stores are. Sure, they have gigantic touch screen directorie... more »
Get Great Brands for Less Here. Yes as much brand as you could remember you found them all in a single place. As a tourist I expend lots of time to explore this mall. I saw movie in their amazing hall. Buy brands in discounted price. Have great food from big range of food shop in this mall. Also takes photo of myself and help other people from other countries to take their photos. It's also a little get together place of worlds various countries people. They centrally offer discounts, you have to collect them from touch screen displays. These displays you will find every corner of the mall. The train station is nearby. They have bus service to train station. You can come from anywhere of NY. Also there is city bus service to explore the Deer park city or cities near the outlet. Overall I loved this place.
I have been to Tanger outlet River at LIE exit 73 many times, and it took me another thirty minutes more to go there than this one, so for shorter shopping experience this is a perfect place, although this one is smaller place and has less store. Parking lot layout is also different. Here you Park your car in a big parking lot and walk a long way to the stores, unlike the other one where stores are arranged in a circle surrounding the parking lot. I find the circle layout works out better and easier to find stores that you like to go.
Excellent experience at the Tanger Outlet. The prices and quality is great! Parking is available with plenty of spots. They offer coupons in their administration office, they also give points that add up to gifts for the amount that you spend. You don't have to spend a lot to get a gift. I rarely have lines at cashiers, especially during the week day. Their selection of stores are also excellent.
It was a nice walk around shopping experience. The stores are pretty close together, not too overwhelming. We spent about two hours and able to get all we need. My only complaint was that the customer service is too hard to find, it should be more accessible, like around the fountain.
Favorite shopping stops are Talbot, Rockport, sometimes Coach,, and other clothes stores, food stops at Nathan's Franks, Johnny Rockets, and of course, first stop at Customer Service. A food court like in River Head would be very nice for shoppers. The ladies there are great - always helpful and when they greet shoppers, always pleasant. It is always important as a first impression for shoppers - as I sometimes equate first impressions with doctors' and dentists' offices. Thanks for a very good shopping experience. My trip on Sat., June 1st, just to alert shoppers when driving on Commack Rd., and making a right turn to go to the outlets, beware of the light. I stopped but the light anticipates that you will turn on red without waiting the appropriate seconds. It flashed on my car but we will see.
