  • You experience a piece of history to the settlement of Montana here close and is assisted by very friendly Park Rangers of the U.S: National Park Service looked after! How it is used by the National Park Service, found everything in perfect and original condition and we had the great fortune that we were able to experience the leadership through the grant Kohl's ranch just for two. You should bring enough time, because it is worth to visit the spacious facilities! Definitely very impressive, also Deer Lodge right on the I-90 is located and is perfect for a visit!

  • We enjoyed our time at Grant-Kohrs very much. We took the ranch house tour which gives you an interesting look at the house, but also into the histories of the owners of the ranch. We enjoyed our visi...  read more »
  • Outstanding place to visit. I would of gave it five stars but we started with the house tour and our tour guide was rude. We were told to stay in the area that was roped off. We were taking turns looking into rooms and my husband and I moved out of the way to let others see up close and was reprimanded that we we wandering and not listening when we were less than five feet from her. We couldn't wait to get out of the house. The lighting is so weak inside that you really can't see very well. The rest of the Rangers gave a excellent tour and the chuck wagon coffee was delicious.
  • Had a great visit showing the kids how life was on a working ranch, and the tour of the house was very informative. Great place to have in our backyard and I can't wait to go back for the live demonstrations.
  • Great place to get the feeling of the life of cattle barons and Cowboys. Friendly staff. Thanks.
  • Very friendly staff, gave us a wonderful history of everything. They had great kennels for dogs, but since we had a cat we were unable to do the tour.
  • This one of the gems of the National Park System! It's a great place to learn about the history of cattle ranching and to see how it's done from a historical perspective. The ranch is so beautiful and also makes for a great hike. The grass gets nice and tall during the summer especially just before haying begins. The town of Deer Lodge is also an awesome place to visit and has an authentic charm to it. Absolutely worth the visit!
