  • We were vacationing with extended family on Deer Isle this summer and the first place they wanted to take us was Nervous Nellie's. I was dubious because local kitsch is almost always disappointing, bu...  read more »
  • The jams are good but the real find is the art in the woods. Take a short walk in the woods to see an artful use of reclaimed junk which is now someone else's treasure.
  • It is a long very rural drive to Nervous Nellies. We went on a rainy day and it was fun. The sculpture is whimsical. Make sure to read the history of some of the pieces. The jam and jelly is good. The...  read more »
  • Definitely a fun place to visit. The location boasts amazing jams and jellies, but also Nellieville. Nellieville is a set of buildings and sculptures created by the founder of Nervous Nellie's, who is also an artist.
  • What an awesome place!Peter Beerits talent and art is amazing to see! What a beautiful place to stumble upon!
  • Okay, I have to admit that I arrived after they had closed. So why am I giving this place five stars? The place is part old west town, part found art and part, well I just don't know what to say, but it's well worth visiting
  • Such a unique spot in such a beautiful and secluded area. The story behind Nellie's little village is amazing. Really glad we stumbled upon this little gem and stopped.
  • I have been ordering products from Nervous Nellie's for years (ever since a friend vacationed in Maine and brought back a jar for everyone in the office as a present) and without exception have loved everything I have ever tried. Being the "sweet southern belle" that I am, I have to admit the pepper jelly (absolutely wonderful with cream cheese on crackers, a Southern delicacy for all occasions) and the strawberry /rhubarb are my favorites. Do yourself a favor and order anything, you won't be disappointed.
