  • Out of the world experience! The crater is very far from visitor's centers. The trail around the crater is soft, and that makes hiking not easy. It could be very windy there.

  • Incredible Sight to watch. The hike down is around 500 feet down. There is a lot of gravel on the path going down, making it a lot easier to hike down to the bottom of the crater. But it also makes it a little hard to hike up the hole.
  • Scenic, unique place, and beautiful at sunset and for stargazing. Worth a stop if you're in the area. It's 360 of epic scenery at all times pretty much. The trails give you a lot of access.
  • Absolutely beautiful. A ranger suggested hiking down to the bottom of the Crater and it was so fun! There were cool formations and slot canyons down in there, and looked otherworldly. Getting back up was no joke, but well worth it for the exploration.
  • Ubehebe crater 3-12-22 61 miles from Beatty and an hour drive. 65 degrees sunny and paved road to the parking lot. Lot was full An easy hike around the crater with a little uphill climb. You must go to the right to see the other craters. This is a must as the view of the terrain is amazing. Just under 2 miles round trip in an hour depending on how many pictures you take.
  • You need to drive 1.5 hour out and back to see this young crater which erupted 2000 years ago. The rim trail is easy, the trail to the bottom is very steep. Very impressive scene.
