The view was nice and tied in with the drive, I would recommend going, but would I say excellent? Not really.
C'est à visiter également. Tout est beau, les couleurs des montagnes sont vraiment très belles. A faire. It is also worth visiting. Everything is beautiful, the colors of the mountains are really beautiful. To do.show original
Artist's Drive is a one way loop of approximately 9 miles with plenty of view points and hikes along the way. The best part of the drive is the Artist's Palate view point. The best views are during sunset and the colors truly pop for 10-15 minutes after the sun has set. Make sure to get there a little early as parking is limited. You can also park your car on shoulders on either sides of the road (NEVER go off road to park) and then hike to the view point. Hike down the canyons is well worth the effort as you can get close to all those colored hills. Bring plenty of water.

Photographers: I prefer this location for sunset. It can be difficult to get quality images here. The colors are wonderful but shadows can be an issue. I highly recommend scouting the entire loop before sunset. Give yourself a few hours for the recon. Identify a couple of locations ahead of time. Stage at the loop entrance (it's a one way loop). Then wait to see what the sunset light will be like. Good luck and happy picture taking! Steve J. Giardini Photography
One of the most visited spots in Death Valley, and for good reason. Sunset colors at Artist's Palette are gorgeous. Make sure to hike into the Palette and look at the varying colors up close!
Don't miss it if you visit the park and you're arriving from Badwater Road. Artists Drive is an awesome drive and you will see beautiful rocks formation.
One of the most unique and beautiful drives or bike ride in death valley. You can also hike into some of the canyons and see the colors up front.
