Artists Dr, Death Valley National Park

(4.6/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
See some of the most picturesque sights that Death Valley National Park has to offer on . The winding, 14.5 km (9 mi) long road takes you past impressive rock formations and the multicolored hillsides of the Artist's Palette. Volcanic activity and metal oxidation painted the hills in various shades of red, pink, yellow, green, and purple. The one-way road features safe places to pull off to admire the view, take pictures, or explore on foot. Even though the road is relatively short, the drive can take some time; its many curves may limit your speed, and many visitors prefer to drive slowly to take in the sights. • We made a stop here before head us to Badwater. Pretty small winding road in the heart of rocks, and really beautiful mountain! At the end of the path in down on the road that leads to Badwater we stop to admire Artist's Palette!, great geological formation with the rock to the colors red, green, pink, purple! The road is in excellent condition in bitumen!, unlike some who are stony.

  • This short, one-way drive takes you through some very intriguing changes in the hills, washes and canyons, including color changes in the rocks and soils.
