  • I loved that the parking was free and easy. Allowed my kids a free opportunity to play while overlooking the ocean.  more »
  • Our son took us here and we had a great time and found easy parking during Biketoberfest.. Biketoberfest is a crazy time with motorcycles everywhere, but this park is just a stroll away from the noise...  more »
  • We were told it broke down 2 years ago, too costly to fix. They put in a small playground, to hot to play on. The steps to the beach were very full of sand, had to be very careful the last few steps. ...  more »

  • Its a neat little park to go with friends, family, or even alone. They have a large play area for kids and several sitting areas. There's always parking and it's free. People there mind their own business for the most part so you can just do your thing but I wouldn't leave my windows down in all honesty. Been there during every time of the day. I personally prefer the morning for sunrise, it's AMAZING and super peaceful. You see everyone else who also woke up early to enjoy the beach in the morning and it gives you a real sense of why Daytona Beach is a gem. Makes you forget about the rough neighborhoods you see as you ride around the city.
  • We found this park by accident when we were looking for beach access-- and found the kid place to be a blast! The play area is covered in a great rubber mat that cushions any falls your tykes will have-- we tested this!! They have a merry-go-round type thing and it was a blast for us adults as well as the kids-- thus discovering how forgiving the flooring was!! The play area was clean and there was no errant trash laying around. Also, a life guard shack is right next to it, which is nice if a bandaid is needed. The beaches were pristine, if you overlook that it was a drive on beach, but the lane areas were marked for safety. The splash portion of the park was gated off and under construction, so we didn't get to view or play there. The bathrooms were clean enough and stocked, but they were open public bathrooms so there is an understanding that they won't be perfect. The picnic portion was nice with covered tables and charcoal grills so you could enjoy a full day at the beach. The only drawback to this park and the reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was that there were several homeless people taking up residence near the bathrooms. They didn't bother us. But I didn't feel comfortable going across the park by myself to the bathrooms. One of the homeless ladies kept walking between the bathrooms and back to the picnic tables repeatedly and would keep looking around the corner. She did her thing, I did mine-it was just unsetteling behavior. Over all, it was a nice park, and I would go back. My only caution is to be aware of your surroundings, which is generally a given when in public.
  • Love bringing the kids here. Shaded playground. Fun splash pad. Showers and bathrooms are easy to access. Beautiful scenery!
  • I took my daughter and my mother my sister and neice and nephew we had a family outing at the sun splash park we all had a blast the water spits up from the ground every where us adults played in the water like we were kids. The park also has a play ground for the kids. The park is an awesome park for the family..
  • This park overlooks breath taking Daytona Beach. The parking is free. The fountains are ideal for kids who aren't quite ready to brave the Atlantic Ocean. To beach is accessible by two stairways. Restrooms are plentiful and kept clean. A lifeguard overlooks the beach. It is a favorite spot for locals and visitors.
