  • BEAUTIFUL! And so much to do with small children! My only complaint is you can't sit down! My kids stayed so busy the whole time we were there - and we stayed ALL DAY! - That we were all exhausted when we left. I packed a lunch and expected to sit on a bench while they played. I ended up hauling the bag all around the park all day. It's also a great place for pictures. And the staff and volunteers are amazing! Answered all of our questions and even gave our boys fish to throw to the animals in the pond. Great way to spend a gorgeous day! But be prepared to play!
  • We visit frequently. There are beautiful gardens and fountains with plants that showcase the seasons and walking paths through the rose garden, wetlands, and nearby woods. The children's garden is educational. Musical instruments, a sensory garden, a cave with a waterfall, a sand table, and topiary are the highlights. The grandchildren happily play here! There are bike paths that follow the river and beyond the garden center is a fishing lake, next to an area where people practice flying remote control aircraft and finally a huge field with rented community garden plots. It's a safe and easily accessible place to spend many peaceful hours.
  • We love the kids' garden, if you go in the summer take swim suits so they can splash in the water play area. There's also a big sand table and lots of area for kids to explore. This park also has huge, well tended garden areas with lots of flowers through most of the year, and also a short boardwalk path through the forest.
  • We love this place! What a great find! It's beautiful, there is tons for kids to do, and it never seems too crowded. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
  • Beautiful and kid friendly. One of the best free family friendly attractions in the Dayton area. Let you kid play in the caves and the 'creek' then go and enjoy the gardens! Also a great place to have pictures done!
