  • Carriage Hill is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, or take a walk around the lake. The animals, barn and penny candy store bring a time period back to life for a few minutes/
  • This is a great park especially for kids. Historical farm activities throughout the year provide a neat way for all ages to learn about things like sheep shearing, wool crafting, canning, etc.
  • This is literally one of my families favorite places to go! We even go in the winter time! We love the farm and seeing the animals. We go down to the creek and the kids romp around in it. Then we walk...  read more »
  • This park is run by a mostly volunteer force, and is a real source of community pride and passion. Free and open to the public, the farms are a great educational experience for all ages that almost anyone can afford. Plan to be here at least an hour or two as you enjoy a long stroll. Check out the webwsite in advance for educational special events.
  • Carriage Hill is one of my favorite places in Dayton. The historic farm is fun and informative for all ages, and best of all, it is free! There are plenty of animals to visit and a number of volunteers that help to preserve the historic experience. The country store offers a variety of penny candies and other gifts, which is neat. In addition to the farm there are several miles of wooded trails, two picnic shelters, and lots of wildlife! The park itself is dog friendly; however dogs are not allowed on site at the farm. There IS a sign stating that on the main gate at the farm. Fair warning though, the trails are loaded with ticks so I personally only go without my dog! There is one very large pond upon entering the park, and one smaller pond further into the trails. Carriage Hill also offers horse back riding at their riding center in the back of the park. An hour trail ride is $30 per person. Pony rides are also available for kids under 8 years old for only $5. They also offer riding lessons and the stable takes in volunteers that want to work with the horses! I go to Carriage Hill very frequently and my only complaint is the ticks, which is not the fault of the park! Beautiful place to relax and explore nature. 😊❤
  • Park in pristine conditions. Clean restrooms. Great amenities. Free fishing on the lake. Great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city.
  • Awesome park. I love coming here with clients for portrait sessions! Also a great place to explore since there's a lot of variety in locations.
  • Beautiful place. My daughter lived in Dayton for a couple of years and visited this park many times. She and her family took us there after Christmas 2015. A beautiful park to visit!! Horses and history are all a part of this park.
