4.6
#4 of 6 in Parks in Dayton
Farm life in the 1880s comes alive at Carriage Hill MetroPark. Visitor Center exhibits start the journey back in time while demonstrations, reconstructed and historical buildings, and even period farm animals paint the picture. There are also acres of natural beauty to enjoy and a horseback riding center.

  • We love going to Carriage Hill Metropark! Fun to walk there, see the animals, see the old cemetery and house. We love the walk to the ponds. Great place for all ages!  more »
  • When we have visited this park we usually find that the people around us are calmly enjoying a day at the park. We have taken small walks there and tried to fish there, too.  more »

  • Wonderful place to take kids. Free admission and so much to do. Perfect place to encourage less screen time for the entire family. There are farm animals to see and pet, a trail in the woods, ponds to fish in, a candy store, small museum, and much more. Also, if you are looking for a great place to take photos there are plenty of backdrops that would be perfect for astounding photos.
  • Great place to take family and friends. Great place for children as well. Great educational experience. Nice employees, it’s shown that they love their job and embrace their customers. Also has a great candy and gift store.
  • Love this place. It has several different opportunities for photo shoots. The horses are fun to watch and they have many activities that the kids enjoy. The staff is friendly and I'm grateful to have acces to such a lovely venue! Bonnie Hill Photography
  • Very fun fishing. Nice trails to walk. Very beautiful. Farm is nice towards the front but the further back you go (across the creek), less property maintenance and care is evident. That was very sad for me because that area was once just as nice as the main part. The animals looked a little hot as there was very little shade for them. There are some geocaches as well if your into that. The staff is VERY friendly and nice! I highly recommend this park!!!! (be sure to check out the visitor center (it smelled terrible it burned my nostrils, but interesting to look through. Country shop was nice!)
  • Beautiful background for grand daughters school pictutes...wonderful place to leisurely stroll through the farm
