Flamingo Gardens is a wonderful sanctuary for animals. The only animals kept in cages are ones that can't be released back to the wild - otherwise, every time you turn around, there is another free-roaming flamingo, Ibis, peacock, or cat (yes, they have about 45 cats roaming the grounds, too). It's best to get there right when they open (9:30 when we went) - we had the place to ourselves for about 90 minutes, and it was fantastic. Be sure to take the tram tide, as it lets you see exotic flora that you otherwise would not encounter.
Beautiful little animal sanctuary. I highly recommend going. They are doing some great work. You can get up close to tons of different types of birds and the tram ride that explains the history of the land is quite fun.
So fun! Even with it raining we had such a great time seeing the animals, feeding birds, and taking the tram around the garden. Lots of history and great wildlife rehabilitation and sanctuary efforts here! The macaroni and cheese balls from the food truck were amazing too!
Very very beautiful place. Perfect for friends, family and solo trip. A must visit for amateur photographers and nautre lovers. Loved the peacocks. Awesome gardens. Lively wildlife. Nautre at its best.
Great deal $7 September Saturdays, thank you!! Loved the presentation that explained so much about your organization. Wonderful people.
