  • It was raining when we visited so we had the place to ourselves. They did however cancel the animal showing due to "weather" but seemed more likely that it was due to lack of a substantial audience. The tram guide, however, was more than happy to give a tour to 4 people and was great. Animals were fun to look at as well.
  • If you live within driving distance, definitely get a annual family membership, so you can bring the kids again and again. On regular days, it's great to explore and walk the gardens. And with the help of a team of dedicated volunteers, the park can provide excellent seasonal festivals.
  • Absolutely loved it. Wonderful experience. So much more than I expected!! Will be back!! My husband loved the birds being fed!!
  • This is a sanctuary, not a zoo. The animals are rescued and rehabilitated and if possible, they are released after. Admission and membership prices are high but worth it at this gorgeous location that serves an excellent cause. I plan on renewing my membership. I do wish there were a hose at the exit though to wash off all the bird poop that sticks to the wheels of the strollers.
  • This hidden Jem was worth the drive. We were offered bug spray to combat the zika virus at the gift shop when we bought our tickets. A friendly cat escorted us through one section of the gardens and a friendly turtle lumbered across the trails while we strolled along. Plaques were placed at the base of the trees and plants to identify many different types. We enjoyed one of the staffs 'meet the animal' talks. His love of the animals and knowledge was evident as he answered questions. We would suggest this place as a place to see.
