  • Great place to take my son. They have a nice playground, a small pond you can fish out of and ice skate on in the winter. And a huge open area for kites, football or just to run around. There is a botanical center to walk around. In the summer they have activities for the kids once and a while. They have movie and popcorn in the park sometime during the summer. Just check the internet for activities that are going on.
  • Great place! Beautiful flowers! Staff very helpful. The spider plant project was awesome. I love Vander Veer Botanical Park. It's a must visit during any trip to Davenport!
  • I have always loved this park. The entirety of the area is absolutely gorgeous. The Botanical Gardens have a very peaceful air to them, and the variety to be found within (for myself at least) was amazing. They have a couple ponds in there with some fish and turtles as well, and it just really sets a calming mood on you. If you need a place to destress, whether that's reading a book, just sitting down or walking amongst the rows, it is perfect for it.
  • Beautiful flower garden, indoor flowers, such a sight to behold. Always seems to have something new to see. The rose garden is just stunning. The gazebo and the surrounding gardens can be rented for weddings and events.
  • Love how all the employee's are so friendly. The woman at the front door was very friendly, and helpful. I think her name was Lou, or Loran (????). Looking forward to going back soon.
