  • Darien Waterfront is beautiful! The grassy area where there are bleachers to sit and enjoy the scenery, tabby ruins to admire, huge tree providing so much shade and beauty and there is a stage for wat...  more »
  • I didn't spend enough time enjoying Darien's waterfront (turns out there was lots to explore in the rest of McIntosh County!) The park is a good place for a restful walk to enjoy the view along the Al...  more »
  • Great place for a stroll... Watch the shrimpers come in and unload their daily catch! Sunsets are particularly brilliant from the westward facing viewpoint.

  • Boy this is a step right into a time warp of History. Each year they have a battle an actor's recreate it. The fort was used to fend off pirates an the enemy. We came here to take in some history along the coast of Georgia. There's a museum with many artifacts an history. Then you can see the old Fort building that was used. Now Logger head turtles lay eggs buried in the sand..Good for school children to learn. It was the war between The French an English.. If ya get a chance visit it. Pretty cheap to visit the fort King George....
