  • Pines Park in Capistrano beach is a hidden gem. Whether your a visitor or a local and especially if you have kids this is a beautiful park to stroll around watch the sunset or even look for whales spouting in the ocean below. The park is split into 2 sections the lower park countering the kids playground which is very well equipped. The upper park contains the majestic views of the Pacific and ample benches to sit upon while you gaze are the scenery or relax and read a book. Also a great photo area guaranteed to make all your FB friends jealous. So next time your in the area take the time to stop and relax and breath the fresh salt air. And when your done drive down to the highway turn north and stop at "Sunsets" right on the highway for a cocktail and great happy hour.
  • Okay so why does Pines Park get only four stars instead of five? It doesn't seem fair because it is a beautiful big park with a great play area and an ocean view to die for in a pretty nice neighborhood.... well California it's because you've given teenagers and vagrants the right to smoke pot in front of our children while they run around, get out of breath and and unsuspectingly taken in long deep breaths of some idiot's second hand weed. No ones there to police it or enforce it so for the third time - young adults were just lighting up because, 'hey, it's legal, right?" And this was before January 1 so no - it wasn't legal and also - it's still not legal in a public place. The four stars comes because Pines Park needs a little more enforcement to keep our children safe.
  • Awesome place to bring the kids, beautiful views and just an overall awesome park. The wow factor is the view of the ocean from certain areas of the park. There is ample parking on the street but it can get busy, there are no bathrooms here, drinking fountains are avaialable on the corner of Doheny and Capistrano. There are 3 large bbq grilles and picnic tables available. Great place for the family in the weekend.
  • Love this park! It overlooks the beach and is a relaxing place to be at.
  • It is a very peaceful and well-groomed Park I've met quite a few loving families there my mother has a plaque where she was buried and now my dad will be buried in the same place or at least have a plaque I really love the park before my mom and dad even know about it it is a great place to just be quiet and get your self centered God bless whoever reads this
