  • On the trip to Downtown Dallas, could see the wonderful and detailed architecture of East emblematic building in the city; its characteristic color highlights also. Very cute to photograph. I can only say its external architecture, since no reach to visit him on the inside.

  • We started our trip at this museum, lots of history and very knowledgeable staff. Great Tip....park here, underground and walk everywhere else! Saved us lots of frustration since parking is hard and e...  more »
  • It was too late to enter when we visited this historic old building which served as the original courthouse in Dallas. Imposing architecture and a museum of Dallas inside

  • Well done museum documenting the history of Dallas and it's early origins. The museum is really just the 2nd floor, with some limited exhibits on the first. Fair entrance fee considering the information and presentations displayed.
  • There is so much to learn about Dallas. There is a dark past that doesn't get talked about, but the museums exhibits do a great job framing the history of this storied city.
  • One of the most architecturally attractive buildings in the city. I learned a lot about Dallas history in this well-curated museum. The exhibits -- four of them, each corresponding to a particular time period in Dallas's past -- featured interesting short films, detailed displays, and plenty of historical artifacts. For reduced parking fare, park in the garage below the museum and ask the front desk for a parking pass to give the parking guard on your way out. Another suggestion is to call ahead and ask whether a school group will be visiting. When we arrived, raucous noises from a large group of school children greeted our ears, so we left to grab lunch. When we returned awhile later (after the kids had gone), the museum was very quiet. Recommended!
  • Large and informative. You could see the whole thing I'm one visit but I recommend multiple visits. Good price for students.
  • Such a great building and a wonderful place to learn a little history of Dallas. Have to check out the museum, has some great stuff there. There is also a visitors center located inside.
