  • McKinney avenue is full of restaurants, bars, and fun. The community is growing and there are many younger adults in the area. One will alwaya find something they like to do on McKinney Avenue.
  • This is a fun area to eat and shop. There are wonderful stores to pop in and out of. Parking is difficult, We had to drive around a bit to find a spot.
  • Very convenient free ride on the McKinney Avenue, several stops a few metres away thanks to which you can explore some of the major historical points of Dallas, including the Museum of art and the sculpture garden to then head towards the area of shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

  • I have always had fun at the MAT as it is also called. Big Al from the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show is the owner and is always welcoming customers even if he doesn't know how to make your specific drink, thats what his bartenders are for anyway. They have good local beer selection in addition to the Texas bar beer standards like Mexican and Domestic beers. The food is good and reasonably priced so have some if you are hungry. There is always some sort of game on but if you wanna watch something specific just ask and they tend to accommodate people as best they can.
  • Absolutely the worst service I have ever had! Our server Mary was absolutely terrible! She would take 5-7 minutes grabbing drink orders two at a time, instead of placing them all on a tray. When it came to getting drink refills, we had to ask for them. After taking our order for food, she made a 10 minute pit stop to flirt with a random guy before finally putting in our order. The food quality was really bad, minus the Big Al's Balls. Everything had a flash frozen microwaveable meal quality to it. Extremely bland and soggy. Will not recommend this place to anyone.
  • This place would not be so bad if it weren't for the overly serious doorman/bouncer who deters patrons from feeling a sense of welcoming from the moment he deems demands ID from customers in their forties. Immediately my party ordered our beverages we headed towards the bathroom. The doors to these bathrooms were propped wide open without any distinction between a destination bases upon gender. Needless to say, this bouncer took it upon himself to cause a problem with the bathroom I attempted, yes attempted to use. He continued as far as to threaten me and demanded I leave the premises for entering an unoccupied bathroom that he judges I cannot use. I feel discriminated against, among being ridiculed, belittled, and cheated since I was also prevented from enjoying what I had just then ordered and purchased from the business. I am directly working with legal council for damages due to McKinney Avenue Tavern's bathroom discrimination.
  • Terrible service and overpriced drinks. Brought the wrong food out THREE times. It took forever to get drinks and almost an hour to tab out. Never again.
  • I was visiting my family in Dallas and looked up place to do karaoke a few months ago. I immediately fell in love with this place. I have been coming back from Houston on Fridays because I love it so much! In addition, I get to see and hang out with my family more often!! 3hr 28 min drive is all worth it!! (I stay overnight or for the weekend usually.)
