  • Great park that is too small for Dallas and the population explosion here Thankful it is here. Just wish it was larger  more »

  • If you are just there to see a park, it take 2 min to see it all. There are food carts and they have activities sometimes but I was too early for that. Nice little green spot in the city.  more »

  • Klyde Warren Park was such a wonderful surprise right in the middle of downtown Dallas. The landscape architects made great use of the small space. The view of downtown is great from here too. There were lots of food trucks, but unfortunately we didn't have time to sample any of it. We did buy some Italian Ice, which was delicious. There is something for everyone here. Very very nice.
  • Alright Dallas, about time, you guys stepped up to the plate and did something right. I actually love Klyde Warren Park. I hate that it closes at the time that all parks in the City of Dallas close, but it is a great place to go. Their playground kind of sucks, but it's okay. The have a kiddie play area, a dog park and they are always having events. Last year (2016) right before Halloween, they had something going on and it was crowded, but it was a good thingamajig. I like the whole scenery, they have food trucks and they sell beer and alcohol, however let me warn you, they are expensive. They have a Southwest Airlines sitting area and Southwest Airlines need to clean that sitting area furniture or upgrade it. It has gotten pretty dirty. It was really clean when they first put it there, but now it needs cleaning. They have a water play area where the kids go and play in the the mini fountain area, I think they have like 3 or 4 of them. This would be a good place to have a wedding or baby shower, especially if the grass is not blocked off (because it is growing). I have nothing negative yet to say about this park, it is really nice.
  • I love the different games you can rent for free. They were some B-boys dancing on the stage and kids were joining in. It's a diverse crowd. Food trucks were pretty good. Best part, I whupped my boyfriend in checkers about 4 times in a row.
  • Very good outdoor space in middle of downtown. Food trucks, a nice restaurant, kids playing area. Water spouts for kids to get wet and have water fun. There are a couple of restrooms, but they could add more. Ample seating available.
  • Tons of quality free activities: yoga, dance, art, live music. Free game rentals. Cute albeit small dog park. Great kids park - both dog and kid's parks have water features which is a must in Texas heat. Wide variety of food trucks but I like that you can also bring your own picnic to events. Wonderful place to spend the morning/afternoon or even the day.

Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.
