  • Great way to spend a few hours enjoying downtown Dallas. We had lunch at Savor and used their valet service. Walked after lunch around the park and enjoyed dessert from one of the food trucks. Very we...  more »
  • A spacious park for adults make walks or races, pets and kids to be happy. I was delighted with the conservation of the place. Toys installed in a floor to children don't hurt, water fountain, climbing and clean bathroom!

  • A well designed gem in the heart of downtown Dallas. Though compact, Klyde Warren park contains more than it seems. The children's park is enclosed with just one gate, so it's easier to keep track of young kids. Insider tip, bring a change of clothes or waterproof shoes. No matter how you and your child vow to stay away from the water features, they always prove irresistible. At the other end there are a pocket dog park, ping pong tables, and other games one can explore. The stage and lawn in the center are well used. Whenever the park is open, the sidewalk is lined with food truck. Mostly standard food truck fare, there are a few vegetarian options.
  • Good for toddlers and infants to immerse themselves in playful activities. Good for food cart enthusiasts too but these are generally done for the day before the designated closing time, 3 PM. Good security patrols ensuring even smoking laws are observed. Even Dallas Police keep an eye unobtrusively on the proceedings. You can stroll, sit or even while away using loaner board games. A little bit of road noise interferes with the enjoyment but mercifully no plans for acoustic walls.
  • This is our go to place when the weather is nice outside. There are food trucks in the evenings and the kids have a play area, though crowded is still fun. Nice to sit along trucks and have a coffee on a cool evening. They also regularly hold events open to the public for free.
  • When we lived in Dallas this was one of the best places to go and just chill. I would take my kids there whenever we needed to get out because there was always something going from Medieval Times Knights putting on a free show, to meeting zoo animals, to playing with slime from the Perot. Loads of food trucks plus ice cream or Steel City Pops. Even when I worked downtown this was the best walk to take for a breather. It's a really great addition the area.
  • Next time I will post pictures but this park is amazing the food trucks are great. I played chess with a guy I met there it was a great experience will go back again recommendations for the whole city visit this park especially when it's warm outside. Find a good place to park and enjoy all the thing that this park has to offer. Tai chi, dance, live music, wine tasting I mean it really is that sweet plus there's so much more to offer...

Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.
