The Katy Trail extends 3.5 miles from Airline Road near SMU to the American Airlines Center. As a recreational resource the Katy Trail serves walkers, runners, bikers and skaters with a 12 foot concrete path and soft surface path. It's a 30 acre ribbon of green connecting 125 acres of adjacent parks linking several Dallas neighborhoods.

  • It's a fun and pretty area with lots of places to stop and enjoy the local scene. Lots of good eats and drinks. 
  • In the heart of downtown and very safe for early morning runs. Can't wait to use this area again. Liked that there was an area for runners and bikers. 
  • Terrific place for a long run, walk or bike ride. There are many places to stop and drink, eat and shop. Actively patrolled by Dallas police on bicycles.
