Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.

  • I love places where I'm able to enjoy time with those who I love without a second thought of time or money, as we enjoy the city. This was certainly one of those places!  more »

  • Great place to walk , see the sites. Has nice activities for adults and children.
  • Cool place. lots of art deco and interesting buildings.
  • First time visit to Texas State Fair. So much fun.
  • I went here with some friends on 10/22/16 to attend the state fair and watch Skillet perform. The venue was very clean, well organized and smelt better than most fairs I've attended in my life. I also appreciated the helpfulness of the parking employees that were working the state fair parking.
  • Built for the centennial celebration of Texas, this is the home of the famous Cotton Bowl stadium and hosts the State Fair of Texas every year. If your interested in history, you need to stroll through Fair Park taking in the architecture. I always enjoy being there.
