  • This is like a 4 story indoor, climate controlled zoo. The theme is a rain forest. You start at the top, the canopy, and you wind down paths that take you through the native animals and plants. You ev...  more »

  • This was one of the best aquariums I have been too. All though it was really crowded. You are able to walk through as many times as you want. Make sure you eat before you go though. And bring your own drinks. They are outrageously priced when it comes to food and drinks for example I had to pay $4.72 for a soda that was less then a 20 Oz bottle. Besides that though if I'm in the area again I will be sure to go.
  • I really enjoyed the layout of this place. It really takes you on an adventure. There were a lot of other animals there too, it is so much more than just an aquarium. The natural foliage of the space is amazing and the little kiosks at each exhibit had good info. I wish some more of the info was just posted though, I can see how on a crowded day kids could be hogging the screens and you wouldnt be able to learn as much. The tunnels were super cool too.
  • Loved the place. Habitats and animals are in perfectly kept & maintained. Every exhibit is constructed so intelligently that you always get close look of the animals. They have descent collection of fishes, birds (also birds of paradise), and few great animal species.
  • Everytime I go there with the family we enjoy it. Although when we were on the bottom floor looking at the seahorses we heard a loud pop. When we walked around the corner to head to the walk through shark tank area, the ceiling was leaking as the seal of the manatee aquarium above us popped open. We couldn't push our way through fast enough. Employees were quick to start mopping up the wet floor as water trickled down the walls and ceiling. A tech or engineer was quickly there inspecting the ceiling joints above us as we were passing and it dripped all over us. Scary for a second there. My family has been there 5 or 6 times in the past 4 years. We love it. In fact, if it weren't for that incident, I would have rated it a 5. We nearly went to the Perot Science Museum but this won out. Some of the Madagascar exhibits did not have animals in them because the weather was a bit chilly outside (which is odd they are outside if they can't be adequately temperature controlled). One downside to the aquarium as a whole is the lack of space for the animals. It is wonderful to see them up close, but they are living no life worth living (unless they have a hard time in nature because these animals are well fed). We caught the sloth feeding presentation and they said they have shipments of a specific trees leaves sent 3 times a week because the sloths are particular about what they eat. My 4 year old is homeschooling and currently learning about turtles. There was an abundance of turtles in a wide variety. Sea turtles, box turtles, etc. Great learning experience. Oh, the anteater (aardvark) was really cool. New since the last time we visited.
  • Had my daughters wedding last weekend. Everything was wonderful, our guest loved get to see the aquarium as the pictures were being taken. The food was great, couldn't have asked for anything better. Working with Jen was the best. She really helped pull it all together. Thank you!!!!!!
