  • Aquarium does not even begin to cover all that you will see! Birds, plants, animals...and oh yeah fish! You can easily spend hours here. A bit confusing on the layout but so much to see!  more »

  • We went for the first time yesterday, I would say we were highly impressed with the variety of animals there and they had tribal entertainers performing and educating everyone of different cultural beliefs related to animals. We never ate at the restaurant but you pay 15 bucks for parking and for two adults and two children 2 and up in age it cost us 77 bucks with tax. I'd say it's worth the price considering all of the exhibits that is presented. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend everyone to visit.
  • Huge multi-level aquarium that shows off every animal you'd expect. Especially loved the underwater tunnel where you could see sharks and fish swim overhead. Place can get extremely crowded during the summer with huge lines to get in - hundreds of people when I went, ~45 min wait outside. Still great to check out and would be especially fun for kids.
  • Really fun activity to do in Dallas. Great for tourists and born ins. The layout is great and all the different exhibits are well put together with great attention to detail. The flamboyant cuttlefish.. very cool freaking animal. Cafe Maya is very reasonably priced and the food is delicious.
  • The Dallas World Aquarium is an amazing place and a must visit if you like aquariums or zoos. It contains a nice mixture of aquatic life, plants and animals. Exhibits include fresh and ocean fish along with monkeys, birds, insects, alligators, penguins and much more. My favorite part is how the exhibits are integrated into the surroundings giving a very natural feel. Combine that with the foliage and rockwork and you feel like you're in the jungle. Expect to spend 2 hours here. Maybe slightly longer.
  • I was there this weekend, this place was AMAZING! My family enjoyed, we had so much fun. There's so many different animals to see. Luis Hercules a worker from the aquarium was so helpful and courteous! He was a very nice guy, he explained to our family how the tour was going to start, and later on he helped us find the penguins. Very friendly gentlemen. I would definitely recommend anyone to take your family for a fun time at the Dallas Aquarium!!!! ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.
