  • I have been going to the Arboretum since I was a kid and love it! The pumpkins in the fall are so much fun for any age! It is a great way to be surrounded by green space in the middle of Dallas. If you are going to go with more than 5 people or even go 2 time yearly, then I strongly recommend buying a family pass. It will allow 6 people and free parking free for 2 cars for 1 year. Typically costs $130 for the 1 year pass and will save you money
  • I am so happy I made it a point to stop here during my visit. It's a bit of a drive from the center of town but worth it. I was lucky to be here in October to see the amazing pumpkin art that covered the grounds. The place is huge to be prepared with comfortable walking shoes if you want to see everything. I clocked around 6 miles by the time I got back in the car. As someone from New England it was eye opening to see the differences in the plants, flowers and trees in Texas. The signs and maps were well done and I never felt lost. This was a relaxing, serene and beautiful place to visit. Put it on your Dallas must do list!
  • Was a great place to spend with the wife when we used to live here. During the holidays here it was beautiful. Great for families, friends, kids, and couples. Very peaceful, and quiet during the day. The lights at night with the displays will keep you entertained for a while. Prices here are cheap. And very romantic if your spending a romantic night out with your loved one 😊
  • We went to the Arboretum yesterday with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson to see Santa. It was spectacular! No line and a very authentic Santa with a wonderful demeanor. In addition, they had a photographer taking pictures and they printed as many pictures as we wanted...for only a donation!! This has to be the best Santa option in the Dallas area. Don’t wait in line elsewhere and spend a minimum of $30 for pictures!! I really hope the Arboretum provides this service next year because we will definitely be back. Thank you Arboretum!!
  • Absolutely beautiful! Seasonal decorations, food and fun. Lots of opportunities for pictures. Restrooms were clean. It is wheelchair accessible and there are trams to take you around if needed. Nice place to share a nice afternoon with the family!

Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.
