Where to stay in Dallas

Though the downtown area offers more high-end accommodations, the heaviest concentration of hotels in Dallas is in the northern part of the city. Staying in this area while on holiday allows you to choose from a range of affordable and comfortable lodgings just a short drive from the city's major attractions. Depending on the purpose of your visit, you may find it more convenient to stay close to the airport or near the city's amusement parks. A budget-friendly alternative, the northern suburbs offer decent accommodations and plenty of shops and restaurants.

  • We were about to go to the Dallas World Aquarium and pay $80 for our young family of four when we discovered this little gem! Only $8 for adults and $6 for kids 3 and up. It is a smaller aquarium, how...  more »
  • This is a great aquarium, set up specifically for children. All the tanks are low to the ground and my kids (3 and 6) were able to see in each and every tank easily. By far the best part is the stingr...  more »

  • Amazing! We saw lots of cool sea animals and it was a amazing experience. They had a show going on when we got there too. Outside the aquarium there was a stand where they wanted people to test there drink "ICE" and we got 3 bottles. They were pretty useful when if came to the time where we were thirsty in the aquarium. We touched Starfish which were very creepy and there was also a souvenir shop that had all different kinds of cool things. I totally recommend anybody who is visiting Dallas that are on vacation or anybody who would like to see amazing sea creatures!
  • reasonably priced, perfect for young kids, enjoyed the petting pools, wish there was more in the main pool near the entrance though. kids enjoyed looking at all the fish, especially all the "nemos". would be cool if the got octopuses too, there were a few empty tanks that stated they were getting animals soon. more jellyfish would also been cool. over all good experience. would be nice if there was a discount rate package to see aquarium and garden.
  • I've taken my daughter here twice and each time she loves it more and more. It's small enough the little ones don't get tired out before they see everything and big enough to stay for a couple hours. Her favorite part is petting the stingrays.
  • The staff was very awesome. The lady in the gift shop was sweet because after my daughter just lost the mood ring she took care of it. The feeding show was great and the family loved it and we all got to learn new things when the ladies who hosted the show told us great facts about the sea life as well inter acting questions that where fun to answer. We hope to come back to see more new fun exhibits.
  • Very small but nice aquatic experience for small children. Stingray petting tank was great, as well as the many exhibits of fish and reptiles. Was clean and even when busy the staff was nice and courteous.
