American Airlines Center, Dallas
(4.3/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Opened in 2001, American Airlines Center mixes architecture with technology for a modern, multipurpose arena. The center is home to the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and the NHL's Dallas Stars, and it also hosts large concerts and live entertainment events. The arena's high-tech, retractable seating allows its capacity to change from 18,532 seats for hockey games and 19,200 seats during basketball games to 21,000 for concerts. Take a guided tour of the arena to learn how the space is converted for different events and to see more of the building's impressive architecture. On the tour, you can visit the press box, a luxury suite, party rooms, and many other areas otherwise off limits to the public. • I have been to several concerts at the AAC. The floor is flat. That means if you don't get floor seats close to the front then it is better to sit on the sides just above floor level. The back floor s...  more »
  • This is a beautiful stadium. The attendants were very nice and helpful. The food options were great!

  • Good concert venue. The parking can be challenging, even if you have prepaid for one of the lots. Currently, there is a lot of construction going on in the area so plan some extra time. The staff is very helpful and will get you where you need to go. The floor seating is basically folding chairs and not with the extra money unless you are ready to stand or really need to be that close to the stage - they are right there in front of the stage. Choose wisely.
  • Clean facilities. Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Best part is the Dart station right out front! Lots of restaurants around it with ample parking.
  • Attended a great concert there. The venue allowed for a great stage set-up for lights and sound was good. The venue was clean and had plenty of employees working the entrances. Employees also stood at each entry into the arena area to help people find their seats. The venue has plenty of food and drink options. The prices are higher than what is typically paid in a casual restaurant.
  • Great place to enjoy an NBA game. The Mavs Maniaacs are very funny. Plenty of parking nearby, if you dont want to pay 15 to 20 for parking there are plenty of other options within 1 to 3 blocks away.
  • I have seen a few concerts here. I recommend parking in the Lexus lot if you don't want to have to walk far. The Lexus lot is right across the street. It is easy to find your seats once inside as there are very helpful staff members everywhere. The only thing that bothered me is not specific to this venue. I bought tickets on the floor for this last concert. It was so cramped down there that I left half way through. If you are going to be on the floor don't bring anything that you need to set down. The floor turns into a trash bin and there really is no room for even a purse.
