  • The wine tasting is really a group of people buying wine at the bar. I am ok with that because the bartenders are really cool. The best part about Frogtown is the Moscato red to me. That wine is my fa...  read more »
  • Gorgeous day in a lovely setting meeting dear friends. The views are amazing. The staff was so friendly, and the resident doggies an adorable addition. I've read the reviews, so I'll add that my reuben panini was delicious, and our cheese plates were full of goodies. My only random comment is that the bathrooms having no marking that they are restrooms is super weird. A friend had to show me where to stand in line. (It was a busy Sunday). I only ordered one glass of wine, but I enjoyed it. I've been to about 12 local wineries and did the wine highway this year, but Frogtown was not on that, so this was my first visit to Frogtown.
  • Frogtown Cellars has really dropped the ball on their food to a point that they should improve or stop serving food. Last year we had great sandwiches, salads and cheese plates. Yesterday the just under $20 cheese plate was an embarrassment. There were some very stale nuts and m&m candy, a few cuts of good cheese and crackers. The week before they served an excellent cheese plate with some great cheese spread. A few olives and maybe a bit of fruit and some summer sass age would be a huge improvement. Last week we ordered one of their Ruben sandwiches and it was horrible. It took an hour to receive but we were ok since we had wine but I the bread was like a total rock. It even had that rock sound when it hit the plate and this poor excuse was $16 or more. There were none of the things in it except a piece of meat on one side and the other half had nothing at all but a bit of mustard or some sauce. Maybe they forgot about it since it took an hour to get. Maybe they put it in the microwave to heat it up and it made the bread this way. We have loved coming to Frogtown, the setting and views but unless they up the bar on the food, they need to stop having it. People want some consistency. When you get a great cheese plate and you recommend it to your friends and they get some stale peanuts and m&ms, we look bad. Yesterday we got one cheese plate and our neighbor's to the right got a totally different one. Both appeared poor but theirs had some breads which ours did not. I hope this review gets seen by the folks at frogtown and they bring their food up to the standards they should have for such a stunning place. People will order more wine if they can get something to eat with it. I love to just stay at Frogtown and enjoy the view but without good food, we must all leave and go somewhere else. I will gladly remove this review if I see a change but until then, beware of the hefty prices on food that is not fit to eat.
  • We had a really nice tasting at this beautiful vineyard with a great view. Unfortunately was a Wednesday so cafe closed, but our hostess was knowledgable and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!
  • Great view, great wine, and great service. We ALWAYS make this a stop when we come up for a weekend in wine country.
  • What a terrible experience and horrible, rude, disgraceful owner that clearly has no regard for his customers' experience. If I could have left zero stars in my review, I would have. My sister's boyfriend, B, planned to propose to her at a nearby park with all of our family there and then celebrate here afterward. Long story short, the place we went for him to propose didn't work so we went to Frogtown with the intention of him proposing here instead. The vineyard and grounds are beautiful but were closed so her boyfriend, his dad, and brother spoke with a couple of the employees and got permission to go down to the pavilion and pond down below the main building. The proposal was great (she said yes), and as we were all walking back up still excited, the owner came storming down the hill and literally started screaming (no exaggeration) in B's mom's face and in my face. "can't you people read! what is wrong with you?! who told you that you could come down here?!". We *did* get permission and clearly this lunatic was going to fire whoever said we could, so we did not divulge. The whole situation escalated with him screaming at all of us and causing a huge scene in front of all of his customers. We had had nothing to drink yet mind you and our large group (12 people) easily would have spent close to 4 figures, but he clearly didn't care about his customers. I should also add that B's parents have spent plenty of money here in the past, and even knew the owner by name. What a miserable, horrible, POS human being. Don't come here if you want to be treated like a decent human being. OH, AND WATCH OUT FOR THE SOBRIETY CHECKPOINTS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS WHEN YOU LEAVE.
