  • You will learn local history in and around Dade City. There are original building structures from long ago and the museum is very interesting. I would highly recommend this place.  more »

  • It seems many smaller Florida towns have done a better job than big cities in preserving Florida's legacies. Cracker Country at the State Fairgrounds in Tampa has nice buildings but they are open only for the fair and selected events. This Pioneer Village here in Dade City has an amazing collection of historic buildings all well maintained and the best carriage collection in Florida. Visitors need to recognize these museums depend upon volunteers to stay open - it is not a commercial enterprise. Keep up the good work.
  • Wonderful venue to learn the history of the area. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Plan for a few hours but I have been four times and always see something new. One of my favorite places to go in Florida.
  • This was a cool place to visit! As a Pre-K teacher the old schoolhouse was my favorite . Staff was very friendly and helpful!
  • We love this place. They have many good festivals a year and its very educational to see how people lived long ago.
  • Nice place, but half the attractions were closed because of a wedding and because the historic Building is run by volunteers and closes at two. The church, the barn and the model trains were also closed. They should have told us at the entrance and we would have come back some other time. Odd to have all these attractions closed on a Saturday. It was a nice visit, but I feel I just had half the experience, but used the full time and money there. Disappointed :(
