Tourist Spot Ranch
Get an up-close look at an active wildlife preserve at Giraffe Ranch, where you can come face-to-face with some of the world's most notable creatures. You can even climb aboard a camel, one of the park's other four-legged residents, and take part in a guided ride. Don't neglect the other creatures that call this ranch home: be sure to stop by the pygmy hippopotamus and rhino exhibits, and keep your eyes peeled for antelope, oryx, warthogs, and more on your tour. • Simply an amazing experience. My family had a truly phenomenal time here. The owners are knowledgeable and clearly care about every creature on their property. We took the camel safari, fed the lemurs & giraffes, and spent time with the rhino, but cannot pick a single favorite thing... everything was incredible Highly recommended for guests of all ages (our group ranged from 9 to 70 years old). We cannot wait to return.
  • Loved this place. Took the camel ride tour and was able to ride all around the park to see all the animals.
  • We enjoyed the tour; paid extra for Segway tour (don't remember anyone just simply walking) - camel rides or truck -- must pay. Animals were clean. Lots of opportunity to charge extra for every small thing - tour, see the lemurs, etc. Staff is super friendly but seem to be anxious for one's money. I do believe the animals are treated fairly and it is a great opportunity but extremely expensive. For four of us, I paid around $1,000.
  • This is a very intimate experience with the owners who live on the property serving as your guides. It was established on an old cattle ranch and there are a good variety of up close encounters with animals and a ride in a safari truck. There are many primates and small cat species as well as giraffes, camels, zebras, tortoise, wild pigs, llamas, lemurs, miniature hippos, rhino, ostrich, hooved animals as well as more I can't remember. You get up and close with most of them either on the safaris or being able to be close to their caged enclosures. The owners make it a very educational experience explaining just about everything you'd want to know about the animals and how they satisfy their well being. On the safaris you will hand feed the giraffes and be paid a visit by the curious ostrich, zebras and camels. There are 4 options for feeding animals as well that you can add on to the package. You can hand feed the bongos (Hoofed Animal), lemurs, otters or the rhino and I highly recommend you add one of the packages. We fed the lemurs. Even though it was chaotic as they eagerly awaited us to go into the enclosure, they were all extremely gentle. They would take the grapes from you so carefully and deliberately. I wish we would have also fed the otters and rhino. I've never heard of a place where you can get so close to the rhino. Even though the people that fed it were safely behind a fence, they were able to touch and pet the gentle beast. For 2Xs the cost of the safari in a vehicle, you can also opt for a segway, camel or llama tour instead. I highly recommend Giraffe Ranch for those who love visiting Zoos, state parks and anywhere you want to observe animals. Because they limit the number of people, you don't have to worry about a crowd and get a genuine up close and personal learning experience.
  • Just a great experience! First day of our vacation and this experience will be hard to beat. We fed the lemurs and the giraffes and got to see lots of beautiful and exotic animals. While on the spendy side of things, it was a great time and one my kids will remember. We definitely recommend stopping here.
