4.4/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
Get an up-close look at an active wildlife preserve at Giraffe Ranch, where you can come face-to-face with some of the world's most notable creatures. Join in on a guided safari-style tour to view the park's giraffes, choosing either scooters or trucks for transport. You can even climb aboard a camel, one of the park's other four-legged residents, and take part in a guided ride. Don't neglect the other creatures that call this ranch home: be sure to stop by the pygmy hippopotamus and rhino exhibits, and keep your eyes peeled for antelope, oryx, warthogs, and more on your tour. Put Giraffe Ranch and other Dade City attractions into our Dade City vacation generator, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • This is a living, breathing working ranch. You can go around by safari jeep or a camel, a segway, or by Llama! What an experience. The owners share their love of animals in a way that no zoo experienc...  read more »
  • A hands on zoo. So many animals up close and personal. Rhinos, giraffes, monkeys, camels, ostriches, and on and on. We were able to feed them and approach them close up. And the couple that runs the t...  read more »

  • My boyfriend and I took our two 2 year olds for my birthday this past weekend. While we did have fun, there is no way I would ever pay $75.00 per person for this experience again. I was told on the phone that we were allowed to touch the giraffes and we were not. The giraffe feeding experience only lasted about 10 minutes, which you can do at Lowry Park Zoo for $3.00 or Busch Gardens for $35.00 (where you are allowed to touch them and they are out in the open allowed to run free in an environment much like their natural habitat). Our kids actually liked the chickens best out of everything, which says a lot about the experience. Don't mean to put the ranch down but it was in no way worth the money it cost. Very cute little town though and seeing the countryside on the drive to and from was probably my favorite thing about the entire day. Go to Lowrey Park Zoo or Busch Gardens for a great and much, much cheaper experience.
  • It was a wonderful visit. Loved being up close to the animals. The owners and the tour was excellent. The Con is that it is expensive. I feel that for the price of the tour should include feeding of all the animals. You don't have to pay extra to feed the giraffes, but there is a $20.00 fee per animal if you choose to feed them. If you choose not to pay the extra fee, you stay on the truck and watch. It was clean, educational, and enjoyable.
  • This was great!! It is alot of money but TOTALLY worth it. You can really see where the money goes taking care of these animals. Clean, hardly any animal smell and a great staff! Savanah was awesome. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and made you feel right at home. The giraffes come right over to the truck and you pretty much have your whole hand in their mouths as you are feeding them cabbage leaves. Got to see baby ostriches and a day old baby zebra. Feeding the lemurs was the coolest thing ever. You get right in there with them, they will take the grapes right out of your hand and may hug your leg. Soo cool. Rhinos, zebras, giraffes, otters. Monkeys you name it they are trying to help conserve it. What a great time. Return trip for sure!
  • Our second visit in 5 years and still one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The caretakers clearly are devoted to the animals. The experience and condition of all the paddocks is amazing. Clearly the best Florida safari experience you can have. Can't wait to come again. Definatly going to visit their sister farm in Orlando.
  • Loved it here. Clean, quiet and nice employees. Amazing expieriences such as feeding zebras, giraffes, etc.
