  • Nice place to stop on the way up the coast. We walked the coastal trail to see the view, it was a good one! The hike itself wasn't difficult, some up and down but no major elevation changes. The were ...  more »
  • We were driving from Surry to Lubec and made sure to stop here along the way. We hiked the coastal trail which is pretty easy and takes about 2 hours round trip (2.8 miles). Most of the trail takes yo...  more »
  • This was a last minute stop. The hike is easy and views are spectacular. We only did the coast hike which took about 2 hours. Parking is limited and only latrines are available.  more »
  • One of the most beautiful places I've hiked. Be warned, the trails are overgrown. Not a little or a few sections, I would estimate 60% had hip high growth blocking your view of the single track trail. We hiked the inland trail, down to fairy head, and back to the parking lot along the coast trail. About 9.5 miles total. This isn't a tough hike in terms of elevation. It is typical Northern New England with roots and rocks everywhere. We visited first week of August and the inland trail was flooded, about shin deep, right before you would turn to the cutoff. Blueberries everywhere, we gorged ourselves. Swam at the beach full of smooth river rock with a staircase leading down - Long Point Cove is the official name. Brought a snorkel and could see the massive drop off heading out into the Bay of Fundy. The water was 51* if you don't have cold water experience, and cant swim very proficiently don't jump in!!! All in all a good hike with a lot of bushwacking and incredible views of Maine, Grand Manan Island and the Bay of Fundy
  • 5 large campsites, can fit multiple tents per site. Coast trail gets to a technical moderate with many ups and downs. Gorgeous
  • Beautiful Maine coast hike. Part of the trail is easy, part is more strenuous. All of it is gorgeous!
  • Amazing backpacking on the coast. Westcoast coast look to the area.
  • Beautiful area to camp and backpack in. Unique coastal cliff trail I'll never forget.
