  • This out of the way and lesser known historical site is truly the start of The American Colonies road to Freedom and Independence. In the heart of the coastal piney woods of North Carolina. A beautiful spot with lots of history. Find out about "Mother Covington"
  • Beautiful park. Stop at the visitors center to watch the film.

  • "Thank you to the people who were working the day I was there to get pictures and information for my Social Studies Fair project. Especially the older Lady who was very friendly. I would like to credit said Lady for helping me receive an "A" on it because of her willingness to teach me more about it by touring me around the inside and starting up the short ten minute video. I'm only sorry I didn't say my thanks earlier."
