  • This park is now on our favorites list! Lots of activities and things for a family to do! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The rangers keep on top of things and are very involved. I do have some feedback though! There are no close grocery stores so you need to come prepared. Camp store only has the bare minimum supplies. There is a convenience store close, but it's also very limited. Very nice though, and that store has a little deli that's pretty cheap.
  • I love this VA state park! With mature trees covering most of the sites and some privacy from each other's sites, this is the ideal campground. The lake offers swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, and fishing. Plenty of nature trails. They even have an archery range. But the best part is the clean bathhouses and friendly staff!
  • Great staff, cheap firewood, great views of the lake from the campsite.
  • Quiet and peaceful. Fishing, boat rental, nice picnic areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Water and power campsites are 30 dollars.
  • Spent 3 relaxing days there with my family. I biked the Cumberland Multi-Use Trail and it was great. Great mix of trail riding with dirt roads. Highly recommend visiting. Cabins were very nice.
