  • In my opinion this is the best state park . Always a good relaxing time. There are 5 state parks in this area and we visit Bear Creek time and time again. Something for everyone.
  • State Park camping is the way to go, and without a doubt Bear Creek Lake State Park has been the best. the lake and the beach area with boat rentals of all kinds, cabanas, life guards and an ice cream shop are fantastic. If you tent camp, you have to get site 11 in acron loop, apsolutely the best. Only negative would be the bath house that is somewhat old/worn with only two showers that had one type of issue or another. Otherwise, this place was great and the tent sites were groomed sites (in Acorn Loop) with a separate gravel area for the picnic table and good parking.
  • Enjoyed a single night at this relatively small and quiet state park. Swimming isn't that great, but it's fine for just a dip.
  • Beautiful place! Great for families with lots of activities. The cabins are extremely nice. Can't wait to go back.
  • I got married here in 2009 and it is now a fun place to bring our children to play and swim!
