  • We have visited Culpeper several times over the last year, and began our visit here at the museum / Visitor's Center to get the scoop on what Culpeper has to offer. If you are looking for local information, and a slice of local history, this is the place to start! Super nice, knowledgeable, informative folks. Wiling and able to give to information on just about every business, shop, brewery and winery in the general Culpeper area and also provide a wonderfully insightful history lesson too. We stopped by this past weekend just to say hello, given how helpful they have been to us, and to check in to see if there were any special events happening. Highly recommend that you stop by here if you are looking for local insight too.
  • Another 'hidden' gem in Culpeper. We learned a lot about the area that we call home and the volunteer was so cheerful and helpful.
  • The History Museum is wonderful....small enough to take in and not get overwhelmed and it's set within the walls of the train station. You can experience the Amtrac train pulling in and again out on its way to the nation's capitol. Culpeper is an old town. I have a XXXXXgreat grandfather who i trace to early 1700s in Culpeper
