  • It's full of history and what looks like hard times for the people who had to work the sugar mill. Not a lot to see, but worth a stop if you are in the area.
  • This is the remnants of a 5,000 acre sugarcane plantation that was the main supplier of the confederate forces during the Civil War. Also distilled rum, which is fine by me! At the park, the stonework...  more »

  • If you like old mill sites this one is interesting. Very small site, but good on-site information. Free site. Some information signs are missing, bit most are intact.
  • Great stop on motorcycle ride for pocnic lunch. Covered Pavillion with tables on one side and the mill across the street. Nice and shady!
  • This a beautiful historical place. Its amazing in how our aunt sister technology worked for them and how their technology has helped us in the present. I have not visited this historical place, but will be on my list of places to visit one day. ITS AMAZING.
  • I've always been fascinated by early technology, this is just an amazing design for the time It was built. I see all the negative comments, you guys just don't appreciate History. This is simply amazing!
  • It is just a little pull off with picnic tables on one side and the old sugar mill ruins on the other. High traffic makes it dangerous for kids.
