  • A fun and interesting place to visit. The animals are well taken care of and the place is very clean.
  • Nice zoo where you can see manatees up close. What a wonderful beasts. Also the other animals, which all of them are there because they are saved from nature and no longer for itself, its nice to see. The accommodation is clean and the animals look good. We were just in time for snake "show". This was more an explanation of the snakes in Florida. Luckily no real "show". The park is mainly run by volunteers who tell enthusiastically about "their" animals. From the car park we took a train to the main entrance. We have the boat taken back through the mangrove. Aligators and many wild turtles seen. Well worth the effort.

  • Just go , It's well worth the money and who doesn't love animals. The birds are beautiful, the walk is short but goes around the whole park, It's a great little place for locals and visitors alike.
  • This place is wonderful. It's a spring fed river feeding into a national wildlife refuge while managing to coexist with neighborhoods and somehow remain unspoiled. The water is clear, clean and beautiful here and the area is home to an amazing array of wildlife. It's one of the best places in the world to not only see manatees, but to swim with them in their own environment.
  • After having a sumptuous lunch at Crackers restaurant we headed over to the Crystal River National Wild Life Refuge which is operated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. There we met and were photographed with a life sized statue of a manatee and her calf. This is a fantastic place to go to learn all about manatees.
  • The water is so clear that you can see the fish and alge at the bottom. It is very refreshing and a good place for canoeing, kayaking and tubing.
  • Awesome for sightseeing and meeting manatees, you can come across them anywhere in the lake, just be aware of the muzzle going out of the water to spot them!
  • A beautiful natural preserve. So important to view and protect our manatees. Love the nature in Florida.
