  • The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is that there's not much else to bring you to the area other than casinos. Great museum though & wonderful staff who was super kind and informative.  more »

  • This was the first museum we visited on our weekend getaway. The woman up front was very friendly and had a lot to say about the artifacts housed in the museum. My favorite part was the third floor living quarters. I just love seeing how people lived in the past. There were 5 buildings total and a lot of mine equipment on display. I enjoyed the crib and miner's cottage. This is definitely a good spot to learn about Cripple Creek's history. Though older kids may enjoy this place, it is your typical "don't touch" atmosphere. There is a lot to read and the walk through is self guided. The second building with the second floor living quarters has a really cool dollhouse.
  • Leave the stroller in front. Stairs and narrow aisles.
