  • Yew Dell is an excellent botanical garden just outside Louisville in Oldham County, just two miles off of I71 and exit 14 providing easy access. It is focused on cultivated plants and wonderful walking paths. In addition they have excellent programs, including many Gardening Seminars and an excellent Saturday morning program for younger children. They also have several Summer Music Concerts for Adults. They have many stellar events, including the Hummingbird Fest and Boo-dell for Halloween which is very family friendly. They have a nice Christmas display with a very well done Model Railroad. Their Spring Plant Sale has many plants that are very hard to find, and they are doing some excellent plant breeding research Their staff is helpful, patient, and polite even when they have a large event, and the volunteers help ensure they always have plenty of people there.
  • Rudest place ever! REFUSED entrance to a disabled individual because she brought her service dog with her! This place is obviously ignorant of federal laws regarding persons with disabilities. Will NEVER attempt a return to this place again! Such ignorance, insensitivity and lack of accommodation is simply unacceptable.
  • Beautiful and throws a nice Halloween bash.
  • We have visited this wonderful garden in many seasons at many different times and always find something to make us happy. They have world class gardens as well as interesting sculptures and even fun programs for kids. It is truly a hidden gem. Go, you will be ever grateful you did!
  • A great place to wander the grounds to experience nature and see what is blooming or growing. I especially like Christmas when the train exhibit is up.
