  • A few weeks ago, my husband and I were chaperones on my twin sons' kindergarten trip to this zoo. I would probably visit the Gulf Breeze Zoo over this zoo, but it wasn't as small as I expected either.  more »
  • Wide variety of animals. Animals were well fed and cared for. Peacocks free range. Not crowded and you can spend as much time as you like. Needs better advertising for out of town visitors.  more »
  • I recently toured the zoo and really enjoyed the friendly staff but especially the variety of animals. It is a small zoo but it seems like they really care about the animals and the animals are very i...  more »
  • Me and my girlfriend and her 3yr old daughter loved this place. It was not crowded and the animals seemed to be well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questipns. I would recommend this place for anyone and children all ages. The otters was my favorite. Enjoy!
  • Very friendly and inviting staff. Also they were very knowledgeable and patient with my home school group. They took extra time to bring out some of the animals so the kids could have hands on attention, including a hedgehog, an albino corn snake and a monkey. Wonderful!!! The children will hold those memories forever. Thank you
  • This zoo primarily houses former exotic pets or animals unable to perform in the circus. It is more of a sanctuary than a traditional zoo, but it is kept up well and the staff is knowledgeable about the animals. It is good for a visit for a couple hours if you are in the area.
  • Great local "Zoo" to take your family to, also helps with local wildlife rescue and release which is a major plus. The property is not the prettiest, but the entire operation has changed owners recently and the current staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and have been making huge improvements over time to the entire area. Not a ton of different animal species, but a great selection for a smaller zoo. I would like to see more "pairs"/additions to the animals that are solo so long as they can live in a social environment. A great must visit attraction if you are local. Also in response to those complaining of the animals being "underfed", in "bad shape", or having too small of spaces...I was unaware we had so many Zoologists in the local area who could chime in with their EXPERT opinions on wild animals in captivity. Most wild animals tend to stay skinny/slim as opposed to the domesticated ones we deal with on a daily basis and being overweight is just as dangerous to them as it is to us (if not more in some cases), and in the end most animals just want food, mates, and a SAFE environment where they feel comfortable, so huge roaming areas are not really necessary for most so long as they are provided with entertainment for themselves (Which most/all cages had) and a good area to roam. Overall this is nowhere near the worse zoo I have seen/visited.
  • I loved it! I've gone 2 times in just one month. I love animals and I enjoyed it felt like a kid in a candy store. My fav was of course the donkeys. The vampire deer was very sweet they loved being loved on. So sweet!!!! All the animals were just so sweet!!!!!!!!! πŸ’―πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’πŸπŸ—πŸ΄πŸΊπŸ’πŸπŸ…πŸƒπŸ¦ŒπŸ†πŸ•πŸΏ
