  • What a beautiful study! Lew Wallace was such an interesting man. It's too bad that so free people in this area are aware of him and this lovely place.
  • Amazing slice of Crawfordsville history. Live a day in the life of the Ben Hur author and Civil War General Lou Wallace. His study and grounds are preserved perfectly to carry his spirit on for all who visit.
  • History, pretty grounds
  • Really fantastic place to visit
  • For a history buff or just any Hoosier, this is an interesting site. Lew Wallace was a many-faceted man with far-reaching abilities and his study piqued my interest in him and kept me reading about him for many weeks. Well worth a day trip and I highly recommend the Creekside Lodge for a different place to eat, especially in good weather.
