  • Always pretty, at any time of the year or day. I have visited many times since my childhood and although it is a very small area and a short hike it is always and enjoyable visit.  more »
  • Having read that part of The Jungle Book was filmed here, we had to see it. There is very little parking along the highway. The trail to the top of the falls is very short, but you can't really experi...  more »
  • This is a hidden gem! With only a half a dozen parking places, I thought there must be more parking somewhere else. But this was it. We stopped and hiked to the bottom of the falls first. Wow... it wa...  more »
  • Beautiful waterfall and super easy upper fall hike (if you can even call it a hike). To get to the bottom takes more effort but isn't treacherous. Definitely worth the 5 minute detour off I-40!
  • Amazing falls. The biggest drawback is parking as there really isn't any lot for the venue. But don't let that stop you. It was my favorite stop in Tennessee. Hike down from the road. Enjoy the beautiful falls. I only wish I'd brought a towel and some food. I got underneath the falls in my shorts, not a usual thing for me. It was just such an enchanting place. Be careful because the rocks under the falls are wobbly and slippery. One boy swam in the pool of water at the bottom of the falls. There are trails all around to see the falls from any conceivable vantage point and a cave on the trail down as well as one high up to the left (with your back to the falls). I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.
  • A short hike to a breathtaking view! Anyone can do this hike (even with a cane or crutches) but be careful because you will literally be standing on a cliff. You can stay away from the edge and still see the beauty of the falls and the pool below if you don't like heights. The water is clear and litter free so swimming is acceptable as long as you don't mind a small audience. There are two trails, the left side goes to the summit and the right side goes to the water below the falls. The trail to the bottom is NOT as easy and requires a bit of skill. I did see small children on this trail tho. Definitely worth going to see!
  • Really neat little place. It has a couple trails that either take you to the top or down to the bottom. The trail down isn't too difficult, nor is the way up. There are plenty of little caves along the wall and aside from the falls and pool itself there are a couple pools and a stream over the rocks from the fall area itself. There is plenty to see for those that want to go off trail too and explore.
  • Very well named. Make sure to wear proper shoes. The top is an easy walk, the bottom is a climb.
